This sculpture is dedicated to my teammates who taught me how to survive everything.

There is no better feeling than the complete joy following a race, especially a long one, especially a tricky one, especially a race where we just kept putting one foot in front of the other no matter how many times we messed up.

I included every detail down to the razor stubble, taped up toes, cut up leg, 2-piece paddles...

The eye on the back can mean anything...for me it is the ultra-keen sense that every Adventure Racer has, has to have, to pull it together and cross the line together. We have to look ahead, but we go no where unless we have all of our teammates with us.

Ladies, of course I am working on a sculpture for us.
